Overview

This guide explains how to disconnect your Xero accounting integration from Flightwise through the admin panel. Disconnecting Xero will stop the synchronization of invoices, payments, and other financial data between Flightwise and your Xero account.
Disconnecting Xero will not delete any previously synced data in either system. However, new transactions will no longer be synchronized automatically.

Prerequisites

Before disconnecting Xero, ensure you have:
  • Administrator access to Flightwise
  • Completed any pending invoice synchronizations
  • Exported any necessary financial reports

Steps to Disconnect Xero

1. Navigate to Settings

From the admin dashboard, click on Settings in the sidebar under the Administration section.

2. Access Xero Integration Settings

In the Settings page, locate and click on the Xero option under the Integrations section.

3. View Current Connection Status

The Xero settings page will display your current connection status, including:
  • Connected organization name
  • Connection date
  • Last sync information

4. Disconnect Xero

Click the Disconnect Xero button. You may see a confirmation dialog asking you to confirm the disconnection.

5. Confirm Disconnection

In the confirmation dialog:
  1. Review the warning message about stopping synchronization
  2. Click Confirm Disconnect to proceed
  3. Or click Cancel to keep the connection

6. Verification

After disconnection, the page will update to show:
  • A success message confirming the disconnection
  • The option to reconnect Xero if needed

What Happens After Disconnection

When you disconnect Xero:
  • ✅ All previously synced data remains in both systems
  • ❌ New invoices will not be automatically created in Xero
  • ❌ Payment status updates will not sync between systems
  • ❌ Contact information will not be synchronized
  • ✅ You can reconnect Xero at any time

Reconnecting Xero

If you need to reconnect Xero in the future:
  1. Return to SettingsXero
  2. Click Connect to Xero
  3. Follow the authorization process
  4. Select your Xero organization
When reconnecting, Flightwise will attempt to match existing data to prevent duplicates.

Troubleshooting

Unable to Disconnect

If you’re unable to disconnect Xero:
  1. Ensure you have administrator privileges
  2. Check for any pending synchronization tasks
  3. Try refreshing the page and attempting again
  4. Contact support if the issue persists

Data Concerns

If you have concerns about data after disconnection:
  • Export your financial reports before disconnecting
  • Note that historical data remains accessible in both systems
  • Consider manual export/import if needed for specific records
