Editing a Grounding
Follow these steps to modify an aircraft grounding:-
Navigate to Aircraft Groundings
- Go to the Aircraft page in the administrator portal
- Select the aircraft with the grounding you want to edit
- In the aircraft sidebar, click on “Groundings”

Locate the Grounding
- Review the groundings table to find the specific grounding record
- Groundings are typically listed chronologically
- Active groundings may be highlighted or shown at the top

Access Edit Options
- On the row of the grounding you want to edit, locate the ellipsis button (⋯) on the right side
- Click the ellipsis button to open the options dropdown menu

Open Edit Mode
- From the dropdown menu, click “Edit”
- The grounding edit form will open

Update Grounding Information
Grounding Date
- Modify the start date if the grounding began earlier or later than originally recorded
- Use the date picker to select the correct date
- Update the estimated date when the aircraft will return to service
- Adjust based on repair progress or new information
- Edit the category or type of grounding
- Examples: Maintenance, Defect, Inspection, Accident Investigation
- Update the detailed description of why the aircraft is grounded
- Add additional information discovered during repairs
- Clarify or correct the original grounding reason

Save Changes
- Review all modified information for accuracy
- Click “Save” to apply the changes
- The grounding record will be updated immediately
