Simulator logs can be attached to bookings to create a complete record of the actual simulator training activity. This process connects your scheduled simulator bookings with the real training data captured during simulator sessions.

Automatic vs Manual Attachment

FlightWise uses intelligent algorithms to automatically attach simulator logs to bookings when certain criteria are met (matching simulator, timeframes, and participants). When automatic attachment doesn’t occur, you can manually attach simulator sessions using the process below.

Attaching Simulator Logs

  1. Open the Booking
    • Click on the booking item in the timetable to open the booking details modal
  2. Set Booking Status (Recommended)
    • If the booking is completely finished, update the status to “Completed”
    • This helps maintain accurate records and triggers any completion workflows
  3. Access the Simulator Tab
    • Click the “Simulator” tab in the booking modal
    • This shows any currently attached simulator logs and attachment options
  4. Attach Simulator Sessions
    • If no simulator logs are automatically attached, click the “Attach Simulator” button
    • The system will display potential simulator session matches

  • Smart Matching: FlightWise displays the best matching simulator sessions based on:
    • Simulator used
    • Session timing
    • Participants involved
    • Session duration
  • Quick Selection: Most relevant sessions appear first for easy selection

  • Complete List: View all available simulator logs
  • Manual Search: Find specific sessions when suggested matches aren’t suitable
  • Filter Options: Search by date, simulator, or other criteria

Completing the Attachment

  1. Select Session(s)
    • Check the checkbox next to the simulator log(s) you want to attach
    • Multiple sessions can be selected for extended training bookings
  2. Save Changes
    • Click “Save” to confirm the simulator attachment
    • The booking will now display the linked simulator data

Bookings support attachment of multiple simulator logs for comprehensive training:
  • Extended Training: Attach multiple sessions from a long training block
  • Scenario Practice: Link different simulator scenarios practiced in one booking
  • Emergency Training: Connect various emergency procedure sessions
  • Multi-Phase Training: Associate different training phases completed in sequence
